SEALSQ Corp announced the start of the commercial phase of quantum photonics technology developed by Miraex, following its 100% acquisition of the Swiss company in June 2026. The acquisition, completed on June 2, 2026, was financed through SEALSQ's $200 million Quantum Fund, which has deployed over $65 million into strategic quantum technology investments. Miraex, headquartered at the EPFL Innovation Park in Ecublens, Switzerland, becomes the cornerstone of SEALSQ's quantum photonics activities. The technology, based on Miraex's Thin Film Lithium Tantalate Photonic Integrated Circuit (TFLT PIC) platform, enables efficient conversion of quantum information between microwave and optical frequencies, addressing a key challenge in scaling quantum computing and networking. The commercial rollout targets four markets: Distributed Quantum Computing, Quantum Networking, Quantum Sensing, and Quantum Orbital Space Cloud. SEALSQ aims to build the world's first Quantum Sovereign Vertical Stack, integrating secure semiconductors, post-quantum cryptography, quantum communications, and quantum computing into a single sovereign platform. The company plans to offer this stack to governments, defense organizations, cloud providers, telecom operators, and critical infrastructure operators worldwide.
