Dubai launches Al Freej Gardener initiative

United Arab Emirates — Dubai Municipality, United Arab Emirates — Dubai Police Force General Headquarters, and the United Arab Emirates — General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - United Arab Emirates — Dubai, in collaboration with Uber — Careem, have launched the 'Al Freej Gardener' initiative, a digital community platform designed to regulate home gardening and landscaping services across the emirate. The initiative will provide residents with access to qualified and licensed professionals through a regulated digital platform, enhancing service quality and reinforcing security and safety standards. Services will include home gardening, regular maintenance, irrigation system installation and maintenance, and agricultural consultancy, all accessible through the Uber — Careem app starting in September. The launch was marked by the signing of a memorandum of cooperation witnessed by senior officials. United Arab Emirates — Dubai Municipality leads the initiative, United Arab Emirates — Dubai Police Force will conduct awareness and field campaigns, and the United Arab Emirates — General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs will provide guidance on visa and permit requirements. Uber — Careem will develop and operate the digital platform, coordinating with participating companies, including its partner Justlife. The initiative reflects collaboration between government entities and the private sector to develop essential community services and promote sustainable gardening practices.
