Essar Group celebrated 15 years of ownership of the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex in the UK. Since acquiring the refinery in 2011, Essar has invested GBP 1 billion in upgrades, including reconfiguring to a single-train operation, expanding crude processing, and upgrading the catalytic cracker. Recently, Essar Energy Transition Fuels completed a GBP 100 million turnaround that increased throughput by about 8%, and commissioned the UK's first hydrogen-ready refinery furnace after a GBP 70.9 million investment. The company announced a GBP 4.3 billion investment pipeline to transform Stanlow into an energy transition hub, with over GBP 1 billion nearing final investment decision. Plans include expanding retail to 800 new locations and exploring data centre development at the site. The complex supports around 5,000 UK jobs and contributes GBP 426 million to the UK supply chain.
