The acquisition strengthens HCLTech's telecom capabilities and market presence, potentially boosting its competitive position and revenue growth in the telecom sector. For Hewlett-Packard, the divestiture streamlines its portfolio and provides capital, likely viewed positively by investors.
HCLTech announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Hewlett-Packard's Telco Solutions business, a deal first announced in December 2025. The acquisition expands HCLTech's telecom portfolio with IP, solutions, and integration services for OSS, HSS, and 5G SDM, and adds nearly 1,400 engineering and telecom specialists across 39 countries. This follows HCLTech's earlier integration of HPE's Communications Technology Group (CTG) business in 2024. The move strengthens HCLTech's position in the CSP market across North America, LATAM, Europe, and Asia Pacific, and enhances its AI-led telecom solutions. HCLTech aims to help CSPs modernize networks, adopt AI, and monetize their infrastructure. HPE's Rami Rahim expressed confidence in HCLTech's ability to build on the Telco Solutions business.
