Her research focuses on stellar populations, star clusters, and ultraviolet astronomy, and she served as calibration scientist for the Ultra-violet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) aboard AstroSat. She is also involved in the Thirty Meter Telescope project and has received several national awards, including the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar in 2024.
