Inturai Ventures Proves Airborne Sensor

Inturai Ventures Corporation announced the successful completion of demonstration flights of its airborne sensor, which is a small receiver that attaches to a standard drone and passively detects Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals from devices such as phones and smartwatches. In a single pass, the sensor mapped the locations of people and devices across an entire site, including inside buildings, without emitting any signals itself. The company highlighted applications in search and rescue, security, crowd monitoring, and defense. The commercial model focuses on higher-margin software licenses, and the company intends to commercialize the technology with defense, security, and search-and-rescue partners.
