ADNOC SLB deploy AI drilling platform

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, in collaboration with SLB, has deployed an AI-enabled Real-Time Operations Center (RTOC) platform across its fleet of more than 120 drilling rigs. The platform, powered by SLB's DrillOps solutions, consolidates live drilling data into a single environment, enabling real-time monitoring, risk identification, and faster decision-making. It reduces engineering effort by 30-40%, allows engineers to oversee two to three times more rigs, shortens reporting cycles from days to hours, reduces incident response times by 4-12 hours, and helps avoid one to two days of rig downtime. The RTOC is deployed on ADNOC Drilling's rig fleet to support Abu Dhabi National Oil Company — ADNOC Onshore and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company — ADNOC Offshore. Developed in the UAE and hosted within Abu Dhabi National Oil Company's sovereign cloud environment, it keeps critical data under UAE jurisdiction, enhancing data security and digital independence. This deployment is part of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company's broader strategy to integrate AI into core operations and move toward more autonomous drilling.
