Odisha signs 10 healthcare MoUs

The India — Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department signed 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various national and international institutions to strengthen trauma care, medical education, laboratory services, and healthcare infrastructure across the state. The agreements were signed in the presence of Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Key partnerships include All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi's Centre for Emergency and Trauma Care to establish a Centre of Excellence in trauma care, the India — All India Institute of Ayurveda to promote traditional medicine, and the Adani Group's Sevadham Aarogya Foundation to construct rest houses at six medical colleges. Other MoUs cover NABL accreditation for laboratories, free heart surgeries for children with congenital heart disease through Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, climate-smart drug warehousing with the International Finance Corporation, and healthcare initiatives under Project Swasth with Tata Steel Foundation and Tarbia Education Foundation. The minister also virtually inaugurated upgraded Tele-MANAS service infrastructure at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
