On June 29, 2026, two police officers of the Nigeria — Lagos State Police Command were killed during a stop-and-search operation in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Nigeria — Rivers State, Nigeria. Police recovered three AK-47 rifles and one Scorpion rifle. The suspects are also linked to other murder cases under investigation. A fourth gang member remains at large.
