The Nigeria — Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Nigeria — Enugu State Government signed a 15-year operational lease agreement for the NCC's Digital Industrial Park and Learning Centre (Digital Bridge Institute) in Enugu. The handover ceremony took place at the Government House in Enugu. NCC CEO Aminu Maida said the facilities were designed to deepen digital skills, support startups, attract investment, and position Nigeria as a competitive destination for business process outsourcing and knowledge process outsourcing. Governor Peter Mbah announced plans to transform the Digital Industrial Park into the Enugu Talent City and upgrade the Digital Bridge Institute into a world-class AI Institute and certification centre, with support from teams from Qatar. The agreement aligns with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and the goal of building a $1 trillion economy. The NCC expects the partnership to support Enugu's ambition to become a leading destination for digital services, artificial intelligence, startup incubation, and technology-enabled enterprise.
