The IPO is expected to attract significant investor interest given Molbio's strong growth and the growing demand for point-of-care diagnostics. The listing could boost the company's valuation and provide liquidity to existing investors, while also drawing attention to the Indian diagnostics sector.
Molbio Diagnostics Ltd, a Goa-based point-of-care molecular diagnostics company, has fixed a price band of Rs 768-807 per share for its initial public offering (IPO). The issue, valued at approximately Rs 930-940 crore, comprises a fresh issue of Rs 200 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 91.66 lakh shares by existing shareholders. The IPO will open for subscription on August 10, 2026, and close on August 12, with anchor investor bidding on August 7. The company plans to use the fresh proceeds for capital expenditure on an R&D facility and Centre of Excellence via its subsidiary Bigtec, and for plant and machinery at its manufacturing units in Goa and Visakhapatnam. Molbio reported strong financials for FY26, with revenue of Rs 1,445 crore and net profit of Rs 164-166 crore. The shares are expected to list on the BSE and NSE on August 17. The IPO is being managed by Kotak Mahindra Capital, Si Creva Capital Services, Jefferies, and Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors, with KFin Technologies as registrar. The company is backed by Temasek Holdings and Motilal Oswal Private Equity.
