The partnership is a modest business development for the involved companies, potentially enhancing their service offerings and market positioning in smart estate management. It is unlikely to have significant immediate impact on broader markets, but may signal growth in IoT adoption in facilities management.
EM Services and SPTel announced a strategic partnership to deploy digital solutions for smart estate management in Singapore. The collaboration was formalized with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on 6 August 2026 during the 29th SME Infocomm Commerce Conference (SMEICC) at Suntec Singapore. The partnership combines EM Services' estate management expertise with SPTel's digital infrastructure, including resilient connectivity and IoT technologies. As a first project, they deployed a Smart Rodent Monitoring solution at selected estates, with technology support from Cre8tec. The solution uses connected sensors for proactive rodent activity monitoring. Future applications may include utilities and environmental monitoring. The partnership also enables EM Services to work with industry partners and Institutes of Higher Learning to pilot new technologies.
