The partnership is expected to enhance the appeal of tokenized equities by providing shareholder rights, potentially increasing adoption and trading volumes for xStocks and similar products. Broadridge strengthens its position in digital asset governance, while Payward and Kraken benefit from improved investor confidence and expanded utility of their tokenized offerings.
On August 5, 2026, Broadridge Financial Solutions announced that its unified governance platform will support shareholder communications and proxy voting for eligible holders of xStocks, the tokenized equities framework developed by Payward Services, the B2B infrastructure platform from Payward. This collaboration enables xStocks holders to securely authenticate to ProxyVote.com using Web3 authentication, review proxy materials, and submit voting preferences, closing a key gap between tokenized equities and traditional stock ownership. The announcement highlights Broadridge's continued investment in digital asset governance and its ability to deliver a unified governance solution across traditional and blockchain-based securities. Payward Services has over 500 tokenized assets available, and xStocks is the most widely traded tokenized equities framework by total transaction volume. The service is available to eligible customers outside the U.S., with xStocks issued by Backed Assets (JE) Limited and offered via Payward Europe Digital Solutions (CY) Ltd. and Payward Europe Digital Solutions (CY) Ltd.
