KPM Analytics, a global leader in scientific instrumentation, announced the launch of its new MCT700 Series NIR (near infrared) sensors designed for in-line food processing quality control. The series includes three models: the MCT790, which adds product color measurement, and the MCT700 and MCT750, which measure moisture, fat/oil, and product temperature without color. These non-contact sensors are installed over conveyors, augers, and chutes, and are suitable for monitoring baked and fried snacks, doughs, crackers, breakfast cereals, and food ingredients. The sensors provide real-time data for manual or automatic adjustment of production equipment, reducing waste and improving productivity. They feature high-speed measurement up to 100 readings per second, rugged IP67/IP69K-rated housings, and modular components for easy field replacement. The sensors support the trend toward in-line, real-time monitoring in food processing, replacing periodic sampling. The MCT700 Series sensors are available for order immediately.
