The financing supports the growth of renewable natural gas (RNG) in the transportation sector, potentially increasing demand for RNG and related infrastructure. It strengthens Sagepoint Energy's vertically integrated RNG platform and provides PSIC with a new investment in the clean energy transition, likely enhancing its portfolio's sustainability profile.
Power Sustainable Infrastructure Credit Manager L.P. (PSIC) closed a senior secured financing to support the launch and expansion of Sagepoint Logistics, the for-hire trucking business of Sagepoint Energy LLC. The financing funds the acquisition of a dedicated fleet of 60 Class 8 heavy-duty trucks equipped with Cummins X15N natural gas engines and related fueling infrastructure. Sagepoint Logistics extends Sagepoint Energy's operations downstream from RNG production and dispensing into end-use transportation, creating a vertically integrated pathway from waste-derived fuel production to end use. The initial fleet operates in the Midwest from a hub in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with capacity to expand geographically. This transaction follows PSIC's previously announced credit facility supporting Sagepoint's landfill RNG asset base. PSIC's strategy has completed twelve investments across North America and recently announced the closing of its inaugural global fund, bringing total capital aligned with the strategy to approximately $1 billion.
