RSS flood relief in Assam

Severe floods in eastern India — Assam, India, have affected over 40,000 families across hundreds of villages, with more than 89 reported deaths and extensive damage to crops and livestock. In response, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and affiliated organizations have mobilized 1,912 volunteers to conduct rescue and relief operations in the worst-affected districts of Sivasagar, Charideo, and Jorhat. The volunteers have rescued over 200 people, distributed essential supplies such as food, water, and medicine, and organized more than 50 medical camps in collaboration with the Cochrane. They are also assisting farmers with paddy transplantation and providing fodder and medicines for livestock. The relief work is part of the RSS's service motto 'Nar Seva, Narayan Seva'.
