Empress Royalty Corp. announced on August 5, 2026 that it has closed the acquisition of a portfolio of fourteen pre-production net smelter return (NSR) royalties from Almadex Minerals The transaction, originally announced on July 9, 2026, adds diversified royalty exposure across mineral properties in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The portfolio is supported by established operators including Alamos Gold, McEwen Mining, Kodiak Copper, and Westhaven Gold Corporation. Empress issued common shares to Almadex as part of the consideration, subject to a statutory hold period. The transaction received all necessary approvals, including from the TSX Venture Exchange. Empress CEO Alexandra Woodyer Sherron highlighted the company's financial strength with approximately US$20 million in cash, gold, and silver, and noted that the acquisition expands exposure to exploration and development assets while complementing its producing portfolio.
