A multistate Salmonella outbreak linked to jalapeno peppers grown in Sinaloa Cartel, Mexico and distributed by Coast Citrus Distributors has sickened at least 345 people across 27 U.S. states, with 36 hospitalizations and no reported deaths. The United States — Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States — Food and Drug Administration are investigating.
