The funding round signals continued investor confidence in India's climate-tech and robotics sector, potentially boosting valuations for similar startups. Solinas Integrity's expansion into oil & gas and defense could open new market opportunities, but the direct market impact is limited given the company's private status and relatively small funding size.
Solinas Integrity, an IIT Madras-incubated climate deep-tech and robotics company, announced a USD 5.5 million Series A1 funding round led by Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures and co-led by Mela Ventures, with participation from Luthra Group. Existing investors SBI Investment (through the SVL-SME Fund), Rainmatter, and 8X Ventures Fund I also participated. The company builds robotics and AI systems for inspecting, cleaning, and digitizing underground water and wastewater infrastructure, addressing water leakages, contamination, and manual scavenging. The funds will be used to scale operations in India, expand into the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and develop next-generation robotic inspection and cleaning technologies. Solinas targets Rs. 100 crore in revenue by FY28. The company has deployed solutions across 35+ cities and 15+ states in India, with an active deployment with United Arab Emirates — Dubai Municipality. This round follows a Series A led by SBI Investment in May 2024.
