On 6 August 2026, CDC Data Centres (BDC), a Singapore-headquartered hyperscale data centre provider, and Morong Electric, an electrical manufacturing specialist, jointly launched PowerCore 5.0, the world's first fully prefabricated power module designed for high-density AI data centres. The module integrates transformers, power distribution, UPS, cooling, fire suppression, and monitoring systems into a single 40ft ISO container frame, enabling factory pre-integration, standardised global transport, parallel construction, and maintenance without downtime. PowerCore 5.0 reduces power infrastructure delivery timelines by more than 50% compared to conventional methods, with large campuses able to deploy units on a bi-weekly cadence. The module complies with BDC's proprietary i-Power Cube standards and integrates with the Bridge Omni Platform. BDC and Morong Electric will continue to co-develop prefabricated power modules for ultra-high-density compute and cross-border regulatory alignment, aiming to advance industry-wide technical standardisation and support sustainable AI infrastructure growth globally.
