Nazara Technologies announced a preferential issue of equity shares to raise up to Rs 733.5 crore. The issue, priced at Rs 306 per share, will be fully subscribed by the founders and senior leadership of Bluetile Games and BestPlay Systems, which Nazara acquired earlier this year. Incoming CEO Raymond Stauffer will invest approximately Rs 583.5 crore, acquiring a 4.67% stake post-allotment. Other investors include Schutze Marc Sylvester, Maxime Loppin, Alexandre Paul Jean Noirot-Cosson, Alexander Wang, and Hugo Remy Gaston Blavin. Proceeds will fund strategic acquisitions, growth initiatives, owned IP, and AI-enabled game development. The board also approved increasing authorised share capital from Rs 80 crore to Rs 90 crore. The issue is subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals, with an EGM scheduled for August 30.
