Official data tabled in the India — Lok Sabha shows that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows into India — Andhra Pradesh surged more than six-fold under the TDP-led coalition government headed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. FDI rose from $92.13 million in FY 2023-24, the last full year of the previous India — YSR Congress Party government, to $608.59 million in FY 2025-26. In FY 2024-25, the first year of the new administration, inflows were $233.14 million. The data, released in response to a question by YSRCP MP Maddila Gurumoorthy, was presented by Union Minister Jitendra Singh (politician). Major investments in FY 2025-26 were recorded in metallurgical industries, food processing, cement and gypsum products, services, automobiles, chemicals, electrical equipment and electronics. The state government has focused on improving ease of doing business, speeding up approvals, and strengthening infrastructure. The Union government also highlighted national initiatives such as the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes, the Semicon India Programme, and BioE3 that support manufacturing and innovation.
