Philips expands open monitoring ecosystem

Philips announced new collaborations with six companies - Blue Spark Technologies, Caretaker Medical, Cuviva, LifeSignals, Respiree, and SmartQare - to expand its open patient monitoring ecosystem. These partnerships integrate wearable and out-of-hospital monitoring technologies into Philips' ecosystem, supporting continuous patient monitoring from hospital to home. The collaborations aim to help health systems improve continuity and coordination of care by enabling connected patient monitoring across care settings. Philips is building an interoperable monitoring ecosystem that gives health systems flexibility to deploy and scale monitoring programs using technologies that fit their clinical and operational needs. The partnerships expand the range of continuous patient measurements that can be integrated into Philips' ecosystem, such as the Patient Information Center (PIC) iX. Products include TempTraq, VitalStream, Cuviva's Hospital at Home platform, UbiqVue Multiparameter Biosensor, 1Bio platform, and viQtor & Healthdot biosensors. These capabilities complement Philips' broader connected care portfolio, including Mobile Cardiac Telemetry (MCOT) for remote monitoring of cardiac patients for up to 30 days after discharge.
