On August 6, 2026, the India — Bihar government signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth approximately Rs 51,600 crore with 10 industrial groups to boost industrial investment in the state. The steel sector attracted major investments totaling about Rs 28,626 crore, led by Nakshit Iron & Steel Private Limited (Rs 6,836 crore), Ankoor Steel Private Limited (Rs 6,000 crore), Sri Langta Baba Metals & Power Limited (Rs 5,500 crore), Shyam Steel Manufacturing Limited and Shakambhari Ispat & Power Limited (Rs 5,000 crore each), and Sri Samriddhi Steel Private Limited (Rs 290 crore). Global Renewable Advanced Clean Energy Private Limited (GRACE) signed an MoU to invest Rs 22,500 crore in the clean energy sector, including nuclear energy. In textiles, Creative Group committed Rs 250 crore and Anubhav Apparels Private Limited Rs 50 crore. Bharat Science & Innovation Private Limited will invest Rs 200 crore. Chief Minister Choudhary emphasized developing India — Bihar as a leading steel hub and prioritizing textiles, nuclear energy, food processing, and pharmaceuticals.
