Gotti grandson ordered to prison over kidney deadline

Carmine Agnello, grandson of late Gambino crime family boss John Gotti, was ordered by U.S. District Court Judge Nusrat Jahan Choudhury to surrender to prison by 4 p.m. on August 10, 2026, after failing to donate a kidney to his mother, Victoria Gotti, by the court-imposed deadline. Agnello had been granted a reprieve from his 15-month COVID-19 fraud sentence to undergo the transplant, but the surgery was repeatedly postponed due to Victoria's infections. His lawyer, Robert Beltrani, requested another extension, but the judge denied it, citing no concrete evidence of an imminent transplant.
