The India — Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that it achieved a train punctuality rate of 99.95% in 2026, outperforming several established global metro systems including the MTR Corporation, Paris Metro, and New York City Subway. The DMRC uses a stringent benchmark, considering a train delayed if it arrives more than 59 seconds behind schedule, whereas many systems allow several minutes. The network also reported a Mean Distance Between Failures (MDBF) of 2.72 million car-kilometres, and has consistently ranked among the top five metro systems globally in reliability according to the Community of Metros (COMET). India — Delhi Metro Rail Corporation operates India's largest driverless metro network, with about 29% of its network under Unattended Train Operation, including Line 7, the world's longest driverless metro line. The network has expanded to 416.5 km across 303 stations on 12 lines, with daily ridership averaging 64.06 lakh journeys and a record single-day ridership of over 81 lakh on August 8, 2025.
