Ukraine drone campaign against Crimea

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, led by Maj. Robert Brovdi, are conducting a summer campaign of drone strikes against Russian military targets in Ukraine — Crimea, aiming to render the peninsula unusable as a staging ground. The campaign has targeted rail bridges, oil depots, and power infrastructure, and has reportedly destroyed over 300 air defense assets. Brovdi stated that with faster Western funding, strikes could increase sevenfold, as his forces are equipped at only 14% of full capacity. Russia is countering by installing jamming systems and building a rival satellite communications system to degrade SpaceX — Starlink connectivity. Ukraine has also increasingly targeted Wildberries, Russia's largest online marketplace, to disrupt military supply chains and make the war felt by Russian civilians. Brovdi warned of Russia's growing missile capabilities and the need for long-range strikes deep inside Russian territory.
