The contract strengthens Baker Hughes' order backlog and reinforces its position in the subsea equipment market, supporting its revenue outlook. It also signals continued investment in Indonesian gas infrastructure, benefiting the broader energy sector in the region.
Baker Hughes announced a substantial award from Searah North Ganal Limited, a subsidiary of Searah North Ganal Limited (a joint venture between Eni and Petronas), to supply subsea production systems and digital solutions for the Kutei Northern Hub development offshore Indonesia. The scope includes 17 deepwater horizontal tree systems, manifolds, connections, control and distribution systems, plus Cordant asset protection and condition monitoring systems. The project integrates the Geng North and Gehem fields to boost Indonesia's natural gas and LNG capacity. Baker Hughes will manufacture subsea trees at its Batam facility and provide support from Balikpapan. This follows a 2025 order for flash gas compressors for the project's FPSO. Baker Hughes shares rose nearly 1% in pre-market trading.
