On August 10, 2026, DroneShield announced the launch of RfRecon, a portable radio frequency (RF) intelligence solution designed for defence, government, and security organisations. Built on DroneShield's proprietary RfAI-3 intelligence architecture, RfRecon enables operators to sense, identify, locate, and assess RF activity from a single device, providing operational context at the tactical edge. The device combines ultra-wideband spectrum awareness, precision direction finding, and signal intelligence, offering approximately six times more RF spectrum coverage, four times greater processing and AI compute, 31 times more storage, and eight times more memory compared to previous solutions. It supports dismounted, vehicle-mounted, expeditionary, and fixed-site operations, and interoperates with platforms such as ATAK and third-party command-and-control systems.
