Oncoinvent, a biotech company developing Radspherin, an alpha radiopharmaceutical for treating peritoneal metastases, announced the publication of clinical dosimetry data in the The Journal of Nuclear Medicine. The publication, titled 'Normal Tissue Dosimetry of Intraperitoneal Radium-224-Microparticle Therapy: Data from First-in-Human Studies in Patients with Peritoneal Metastases', reports results from nine patients in the dosimetry cohorts of Phase 1 studies in ovarian and colorectal cancer. The data show that absorbed radiation doses to normal organs, including kidneys and red bone marrow, were well below levels associated with toxicity risks. This supports the favorable safety profile observed in clinical trials and the continued development of Radspherin. The study was conducted at The Norwegian Radium Hospital, part of Oslo University Hospital, with contributions from Caroline Stage Olsen and Kari Myren. Oncoinvent expects interim data from an ongoing Phase 2 ovarian cancer trial in 2026.
