The acquisition strengthens Cadeler's position in the offshore wind installation market, potentially enhancing its revenue and margin outlook. It may also positively impact the broader offshore wind supply chain by improving installation efficiency and reducing reliance on subcontractors.

Offshore Wind Renewable Energy Marine Construction

Cadeler A/S, a leading offshore wind installation contractor, announced the acquisition of Menck GmbH, a global provider of specialist equipment and technology for offshore foundation installation, from Acteon Group. The transaction is based on an agreed enterprise valuation of EUR 501 million (approximately $578 million), with signing and closing completed simultaneously after receiving all mandatory regulatory approvals. Cadeler intends to operate Menck GmbH as a standalone business, preserving its independent market position while strengthening its role as a key supply chain provider. The acquisition combines Menck GmbH's specialist technology and engineering expertise with Cadeler's fleet of heavy-lift wind installation vessels, enabling a complete and integrated approach to project execution. The deal was financed through available liquidity and a EUR 380 million acquisition facility provided by DNB Bank and Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A., expected to be refinanced with long-term financing. Menck GmbH expects to introduce its next-generation Wind Hammer early in 2027. This acquisition follows Cadeler's recent order for two new T-class vessels from COSCO Shipping Offshore.
