1606 Corp., a developer of power and digital infrastructure assets, announced a strategic agreement with MDM Group LLC, an infrastructure origination firm. Under the agreement, MDM Group will assist 1606 in identifying and introducing prospective buyers, off-takers, and joint venture partners for 1606's planned acquisition of an approximately 132-acre East Texas power campus in Lufkin, featuring about 55 MW of behind-the-meter generation. The engagement is success-fee-only with no upfront fees. MDM Group brings a portfolio of about 30 powered sites across 17 states and expertise in AI data center development. 1606 continues to evaluate commercialization pathways including long-term leases, joint ventures, and additional financing. The Purchase and Sale Agreement for the Lufkin facility extends through October 31, 2026. The company also faces pending litigation and title matters, including a tax suit and insurance suit set for trial on August 17, 2026.
