The additional investment from Centerra and Teck signals continued confidence in Metal Energy's exploration prospects, providing modest capital to support its drilling program. The offering is small and unlikely to significantly move the stock, but it reinforces the strategic backing from major mining companies.
Metlen Energy & Metals PLC announced that its strategic shareholders, Centerra Gold and Teck Resources, exercised their top-up rights to maintain their respective 9.9% equity interests in the company. As a result, Metal Energy issued 550,000 common shares at C$0.89 per share, raising approximately C$490,000 in gross proceeds. The offering closed on or before August 21, 2026, and the proceeds will be used for general corporate and working capital purposes. This investment supports Metal Energy's ongoing exploration programs, particularly the maiden drill program at its NIV copper-gold-molybdenum project in Canada — British Columbia's Toodoggone District. The company remains fully funded for its 2026 exploration activities.
