Mossad chief reveals Fordow visits

Former Israel — Mossad chief Yossi Cohen revealed on August 11 that Israeli spies had visited Iran's Fordow nuclear facility 'many times' in the past to understand the site. Cohen, who led Israel — Mossad from 2015 to 2021, made the remarks at a conference of local authorities, according to Israeli media. He did not specify when the visits occurred or who was involved. Cohen also said the US bombing of the facility was 'the fulfillment of all my dreams.' The comments come after Israel launched a war against Iran in June 2025, with the stated goal of degrading its nuclear and ballistic missile programs, which Israel described as an 'existential threat.' The United States joined the 12-day conflict and bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities at Fordow, Iran — Natanz, and Iran — Isfahan. Iran's nuclear program remains a major point of contention, with Tehran denying it seeks nuclear weapons. Cohen, a close associate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was also linked to the 2020 assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, though Israel has not commented on that incident.
