Skanska signs UNC Health medical building contract

Skanska, a Swedish construction and project development company, has signed an additional contract with UNC Health (UNCH) for the construction of a new medical office building and parking deck in United States — North Carolina, USA. The contract is valued at USD 68 million (approximately SEK 630 million) and will be included in Skanska's US order bookings for the third quarter of 2026. The project scope includes site development, infrastructure, early equipment, and core and shell for a six-floor, approximately 17,700 square meters medical office building and an 890-space parking deck. The project began in June 2026 and is expected to reach completion in April 2028. This contract marks the start of a new greenfield medical campus for UNC Health and will establish new design and construction standards for UNCH's outpatient facilities.
