Context Labs B.V., an industrial AI infrastructure company, announced three connected transactions with Trafigura PTE Ltd. Context Labs acquired Agora (Europe) Limited, the Trafigura subsidiary that owns and operates the Kinertic carbon-intelligence platform. Trafigura made a strategic equity investment in Context Labs to support platform development and integration. Additionally, Context Labs and Trafigura entered into a multi-year master services and platform license agreement, under which Trafigura will deploy the combined platform across its commodity trading desks, including oil, gas, and metals. The combined offering aims to provide carbon-informed trading, industrial AI at scale, and regulatory readiness for EU regulations such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the EU Methane Regulation. The deal reflects the growing importance of verified carbon data in commodity trading.
