Rwanda's agricultural export revenues reached a record $1.1 billion (approximately Rwf1.6 trillion) in the 2025-2026 fiscal year, marking a 24.3% increase from $893 million the previous year. The Rwanda — National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) announced the milestone on August 12, 2026. Growth was driven by improved export infrastructure, stronger traceability and quality assurance, market diversification, and enhanced farmer productivity. Key products include coffee, tea, and horticulture. The achievement brings Rwanda closer to its target of $1.5 billion in agricultural exports by 2028/2029 under the Second National Strategy for Transformation (NST2) and the Fifth Strategic Plan for Agriculture Transformation (PSTA5). NAEB CEO Claude Bizimana emphasized the significance of the milestone and outlined plans for further diversification and value addition.
