On August 13, 2026, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Nigeria — Ondo State assented to the Nigeria — Ondo State Electric Power Sector (Amendment) Law, 2026, which amends the 2020 law to align with Nigeria's Electricity Act, 2023.
