Houthi missile attack kills six in Bab el-Mandeb

On August 10, 2026, Houthi rebels fired three ballistic missiles at a Yemeni commercial ship, the Tihama, in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait as it approached port. The attack killed six people, including two members of Yemen's Yemeni National Resistance and three Pakistani crew members, and injured at least nine others. Crew members reported that a second missile struck during rescue efforts, causing additional chaos.
