The leadership transition is expected to be smooth given Fulton's long tenure as CFO and insider knowledge. Markets are unlikely to react significantly, as Milliman is privately held and the change is a routine executive succession.
Milliman, Inc., a global actuarial and consulting firm, announced that James Fulton (Canadian politician), its Chief Financial Officer since 2015, will become Chief Executive Officer in October 2026. Fulton succeeds Dermot Corry, who is retiring after a five-year term as CEO and a 44-year career at the firm. During Corry's tenure, Milliman made nine acquisitions and diversified its data and analytics capabilities. Fulton brings over 30 years of experience in professional services and technology, including roles at PwC, Crown Capital Partners, Emu Solutions, and Ira Realty. Milliman Chair Bret Linton praised Fulton as the ideal leader for the firm's continued growth and evolution.
