Apple Inc. opened its new Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) in Houston, United States — Texas, on August 13, 2026. The 20,000-square-foot facility, located within Apple's existing Houston plant that builds and ships advanced AI servers, offers free training and educational sessions for small- and medium-sized businesses. The center is Apple's second U.S. manufacturing learning site, following the Apple Manufacturing Academy in Detroit. Apple confirmed it will begin manufacturing the Mac mini at the Houston facility later this year. The opening was attended by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, Houston Mayor John Whitmire, U.S. Representative Christian Menefee, and Harris County Precinct One Commissioner Rodney Ellis. Apple CEO Tim Cook highlighted the company's investment of hundreds of millions of dollars in the facility over the past nine months and its commitment to American manufacturing. The AMC will expand training to local college students in the future.
