On August 14, 2026, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced that the Logistics Data Bank (LDB) has achieved the milestone of tracking 10 crore EXIM containers. The LDB, an RFID-based platform, provides end-to-end visibility of container movement across India, covering 100% of EXIM container movement, 19 ports, 32 container terminals, and extensive inland infrastructure. Goyal emphasized that technology-driven logistics will strengthen India's manufacturing and export ambitions, supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat. In September 2025, Goyal launched LDB 2.0, which added high-seas tracking and multimodal shipment visibility, enhancing the platform's capabilities.
