Kashmiri diaspora protests in Bradford

The Kashmiri diaspora in the United Kingdom held a sit-in protest outside the Pakistan Consulate in Bradford on August 13-14, 2026, in solidarity with the people of Azad Kashmir (PoJK). Protesters condemned reported violence, civilian deaths, prolonged military restrictions, and alleged disruptions to food and medicine supplies. They submitted a memorandum to a Pakistani diplomat, addressed to the Pakistan — Prime Minister of Pakistan, demanding the withdrawal of security forces from PoJK and an end to the use of force against civilians. The protest was organized in solidarity with the Indian Political Action Committee and called on the international community and the United Nations to ensure fundamental human, democratic, and political rights for the Kashmiri people. Diaspora member Zia Ahmed urged dialogue and a peaceful political process instead of force.
