Alphabet Inc. has expanded its Gemini-powered 'Take notes for me' feature in Alphabet Inc. Meet to support in-person meetings. The tool, first previewed at Alphabet Inc. Cloud Next in April 2026, allows users to record face-to-face discussions using a smartphone or computer microphone. It automatically generates structured summaries, transcripts, and action items in a shared Alphabet Inc. Doc, which is saved to Google Drive and linked via email. The feature supports eight languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese) and is recommended for sessions lasting at least 15 minutes. It is available to Alphabet Inc. AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers, as well as various Alphabet Inc. — Google Workspace business and enterprise plans. The rollout began on Android on August 11, 2026, followed by web on August 14, with iOS support expected by the end of August. Privacy controls allow pausing or ending capture, and host controls restrict who can trigger the feature.
