The launch of Metallux expands Aludecor's product portfolio in the architectural materials market, potentially strengthening its competitive position. The innovation may attract architects and builders seeking fire-safe, durable, and design-flexible materials, but the immediate market impact is limited as this is a niche product launch.
On August 14, 2026, Aludecor, a leading Indian manufacturer of aluminium composite panels, launched Metallux, an engineered pre-coated solid aluminium sheet designed for modern architecture. The product was unveiled by Director Saurav Kabra in the presence of Founder and CMD Ashok Kumar Bhaiya. Metallux features 2/3 layers of laminated aluminium skins for enhanced stiffness and flatness, has no thermoplastic core, and achieves Class A2-s1, d0 fire classification per EN 13501-1. It offers fabrication flexibility and is available in various colours and finishes, backed by a warranty of up to 20 years. The product is aimed at applications such as facades, curtain walls, and cladding, and is made from 100% recyclable aluminium.
