TAJBank FY2025 profit surges 74%

TAJBank, Nigeria's largest non-interest bank by assets, reported a 74% year-on-year surge in profit before tax (PBT) to N31.562 billion for FY2025, up from N18.166 billion in FY2024. Total assets grew to N1.34 trillion from N953 billion, and total equity rose 144% to N149.23 billion. The board approved a dividend of 20 kobo per share at the virtual 2026 Annual General Meeting, one of the highest dividend-per-share ratios in the Nigerian banking industry. Management attributed the performance to prudent financial management, which has strengthened investor confidence. Regulators recently rated TAJBank as the largest player in Nigeria's non-interest banking subsector based on total assets and gross earnings.
