The class action lawsuit and associated manufacturing corrections have negatively impacted Insulet's stock price and investor confidence. The legal proceedings and potential liability could further pressure the company's valuation and reputation in the medical device market.
Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP LLP announced that investors who purchased Insulet Corporation securities between February 21, 2025 and May 26, 2026 have until August 31, 2026 to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in a securities class action lawsuit. The lawsuit, Hu v. Insulet Corporation, No. 26-cv-013062 (D. Mass.), alleges that Insulet and certain current and former executives violated the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 by making false or misleading statements and failing to disclose defective manufacturing controls and procedures. These issues allegedly led to voluntary Medical Device Corrections in March and May 2026 for Omnipod products, causing stock price declines of nearly 7% and more than 5%, respectively. The lead plaintiff process is governed by the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995.
