This is a domestic religious trust matter with no direct impact on financial markets. The clean chit may restore confidence in the trust's governance but has negligible market effect.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the India — Uttar Pradesh government has given a clean chit to former Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra general secretary Champat Rai and former Trust member Anil Mishra in the alleged theft of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Both had resigned on June 27 amid allegations of irregularities. The SIT's final report was submitted to the Trust by the India — Uttar Pradesh Home Department on Monday. The SIT, headed by Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, had been formed on June 13 at the Trust's request. Based on the preliminary report, an FIR was registered on June 25 naming eight individuals, all of whom have been arrested and booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and the Prevention of Corruption Act. Rai reportedly denied involvement and stated that arrests followed his complaint.
