The event is primarily cultural and promotional, with limited direct market impact. It may modestly raise awareness of Hybrid Motors' EV ambitions and potential Africa-Europe partnerships in sustainable mobility, but no immediate financial effects are expected.
Artnovation and IHS Nigeria Limited will unveil 'The Bridge of Motion', the 17th work in Artnovation's Thread of Continents series, at the opening of 'Echoes of Renaissance in the Hues of Africa' at Fondazione Luciana Matalon in Milan on September 16, 2026. The artwork explores the intersection of art, electric vehicles, renewable energy, and sustainable development, deliberately referencing the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Curated by Foluke Michael, the project builds on the AfroItalian Renaissance initiative launched with the United States — United States Consulate General in Lagos in December 2025. Hybrid Motors founder Jubril Arogundade stated the collaboration aims to advance sustainable, indigenous mobility solutions for West Africa and foster European technical, institutional, and commercial partnerships. The initiative aligns with the European Union's Global Gateway strategy, particularly in sustainable transport and renewable energy. The exhibition runs from September 17 to 29.
