Electra Battery Materials Corporation provided an update on construction of its cobalt sulfate refinery in Temiskaming Shores, Canada — Ontario. The company reported progress in structural steel erection, concrete works, equipment installation, and piping preparation. Major construction agreements have been finalized with WB Melback Corporation (approximately C$26 million) and Pro-Pipe Construction (approximately C$6.8 million), a subsidiary of Dalcon Construction. Kilmarnock Enterprises is advancing its structural, mechanical, and piping package. Engineering is substantially complete, and equipment fabrication is progressing. The refinery is supported by the governments of the United States, Canada, and Canada — Ontario. Commissioning is targeted for Q4 2026, mechanical completion for Q2 2027, full commissioning and ramp-up for Q3 2027, and commercial production for Q4 2027.
